Hidden Text
Hidden text is text on a website that is coded in a manner that makes it invisible to human visitors, but readable by search engine spiders. Hidden text can be tiny or invisible text. All of the major search engines react harshly to this SPAM tactic.
Hidden text and other SPAM issues are probably the biggest trap people fall into. People come up with ways to 'fool' search engines, and they work for a little while...sometimes. But then the search engines catch on and write routines that penalize sites that use this practice. Keywords in hidden text are considered spam by all of the major search engines, so do not waste time with this practice.
Invisible text
Colors make a webpage pleasant to the eye - but don not overdo it. Be sure that at no point your background color is equal to your text color even when included in tables. Invisible text is viewed by most search engines as spamming and can result in removal of your site from their index, penalization of you entry ranking or blacklisting from the engine.
Tiny text
Many of the major search engines consider tiny text (i.e. font size 1) as spam. Some use of tiny text is fine. Search engines do not like webpages that use a lot of tiny text. The reason is some webmasters have used it to fool search engines by "hiding" dozens of keywords in a webpage.
