Link Manager is the front door to optimizing the webpage for keywords and design issues. The tool will read the links on a webpage and automatically organize them by internal and external links. If the Link Manager has problems reading your links, so will the major search engines.

Improve link popularity
From the Link Manager you can select URLs for which you want to improve link
popularity and run the search engine optimizer. For each link, the Link Manager will display anchor tag text, surrounding text and the hyperlink.
Some of the engines actually look for keywords in the HTML link tag and any text in the html surrounding that hyperlink.
What this means to you is that if you can you should include your most important keyword phrases in the hyperlink itself and
possibly the surrounding html coding; it will improve link popularity! If Link Manager shows your keywords below the hyperlink
then the search engines will also see it!
